1. Reservations
A reservation becomes confirmed when Tenuta Legaro has accepted the reservation and the required deposit or payment has been received.
The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for ensuring that all guests included in the reservation are aware of and comply with these Terms.
Prices, inclusions and specific conditions applicable to your stay will be stated in your reservation confirmation or offer.
Where specific conditions in a written offer or reservation confirmation differ from these general Terms of Service, the conditions stated in the offer or confirmation will prevail.
2. Rates
Unless otherwise stated, accommodation rates are quoted per room or suite, per night, and include breakfast.
Rates may vary according to season, room category, length of stay, availability and the conditions of the selected rate.
Tourist taxes, additional services and other charges are included only where expressly stated.
Special offers, packages and promotional rates may be subject to additional or different conditions.
3. Payment
The payment conditions applicable to your reservation will be stated in your booking confirmation.
Unless otherwise agreed, a reservation is not guaranteed until the required deposit or payment has been received.
Different payment conditions may apply to group reservations, exclusive-use bookings, weddings, events, special offers and reservations made through travel agents or third-party booking platforms.
4. Voluntary service charge
At check-out, a 5% service charge is added to the guest's final bill.
The service charge is calculated on the total amount of the stay, including accommodation and any additional food, beverages, experiences or other services charged to the guest's account.
The service charge is intended for the Tenuta Legaro staff in recognition of the service provided during your stay.
The service charge is entirely voluntary and is not a mandatory fee. Guests may ask for the service charge to be reduced or removed from their bill before payment, without needing to provide a reason.
5. Flexible Rate and cancellation
For reservations made on our Flexible Rate, guests may cancel their reservation without cancellation charges until 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
From 30 days prior to arrival, the reservation becomes non-refundable and the full reservation amount is due.
Any cancellation must be communicated to Tenuta Legaro in writing.
Different cancellation conditions may apply to non-refundable rates, promotional offers, group reservations, exclusive-use bookings, weddings, events or other specially agreed reservations. Where different conditions apply, these will be stated in the reservation confirmation or offer.
The specific conditions contained in your reservation confirmation always take precedence over these general cancellation conditions.
6. Changes, late arrival and early departure
Requests to change reservation dates, room categories, length of stay or the number of guests are subject to availability and may result in a change in price.
A reduction in the number of nights after the applicable cancellation deadline may be treated as a partial cancellation.
No refund is provided for late arrival, early departure, unused nights or services not used by the guest, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
We recommend that guests arrange appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, travel disruption and other circumstances that could prevent or interrupt their stay.
7. Reservations through third parties
Reservations made through Booking.com, Expedia, a travel agent, tour operator or another third-party provider may be subject to different payment and cancellation conditions.
In those cases, the conditions confirmed through the relevant provider apply.
Changes or cancellations may need to be made directly through the provider through which the reservation was made.
8. Check-in and check-out
Unless otherwise agreed:
Check-in: from 15:00
Check-out: by 11:00
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Guests are required to provide valid identification where required under Italian law.
9. Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Breakfast is served daily from 08:00 until 11:00.
Lunch and dinner are offered on a personal, 1-to-1 basis. We do not operate lunch and dinner as a conventional restaurant with fixed service times.
Lunch and dinner therefore need to be agreed in advance with our team. Timing, menu, location and applicable charges will be discussed and agreed individually with the guest.
This allows us to adapt our food service to the wishes and plans of our guests during their stay.
10. Food and beverages in common areas
Guests are not permitted to bring or consume their own food or beverages in the common areas of the estate.
This applies to all shared indoor and outdoor areas, including the swimming pool and pool area, Pool House, Piazza, restaurant and dining areas, common kitchens, gardens, terraces and other communal spaces.
Food and beverages served or provided by Tenuta Legaro are permitted in the areas designated for their consumption.
An exception is made for food and drinks intended for children under 12 years of age.
Guests with specific dietary, medical or other requirements are invited to speak with our team so that an appropriate solution can be arranged.
11. The estate
Tenuta Legaro is an intimate private estate with a limited number of rooms and suites.
An important part of the Legaro experience is the sense of space, privacy and tranquillity throughout the property. We therefore ask all guests to respect the peaceful atmosphere of the estate, other guests, our team and our neighbours.
Guests must treat the villa, rooms and suites, gardens, vineyards, swimming pool, Pool House, spa, gym, Whisky Room and all other areas of the estate with reasonable care.
Guests are required to follow reasonable instructions from our team concerning safety, security and use of the property and its facilities.
12. Swimming pool
The swimming pool is open daily from 10:00 until 19:30.
Use of the swimming pool is subject to the Tenuta Legaro Swimming Pool Rules. All guests and visitors using the swimming pool or pool area are required to comply with these rules and with reasonable instructions provided by our team.
Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
For safety, maintenance, weather or operational reasons, Tenuta Legaro may temporarily restrict access to the swimming pool or adjust its opening hours where reasonably necessary.
13. Spa, gym and other facilities
Guests use the spa, sauna, hammam, gym and other recreational facilities responsibly and with appropriate care.
Children may only use facilities where permitted and must be appropriately supervised.
Guests should not use facilities where doing so would be contrary to medical advice or where their physical condition makes such use unsafe.
Specific safety rules displayed at the estate or communicated by our team must be followed.
Opening hours and availability may occasionally change because of maintenance, safety or operational requirements.
14. Non-smoking property
Tenuta Legaro is a non-smoking property.
Smoking is not permitted inside any building or indoor area, including guest rooms and suites, bathrooms, common living spaces, restaurant and dining areas, kitchens, Whisky Room, spa, gym and Pool House.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor locations indicated or approved by our team.
Guests are asked not to smoke in other outdoor areas, particularly where smoke could disturb other guests.
This policy also applies to electronic cigarettes, vaping devices and similar products.
15. Quiet enjoyment, music and mobile phones
Tenuta Legaro is intentionally a peaceful and intimate estate. We ask every guest to help us preserve this atmosphere.
Personal loud music, portable speakers and other sources of loud sound are not permitted anywhere on the estate.
Personal music, videos and other audio content should be listened to using headphones where the sound could otherwise be heard by other guests.
Music provided or organised by Tenuta Legaro, including music for approved private events and celebrations, is excluded from this rule.
Telephone conversations are not permitted in shared common areas, including the restaurant, common kitchens and dining areas, swimming pool and pool area, Pool House, Piazza and other shared spaces.
Telephone conversations should take place in the privacy of your room or suite or in a quiet private area where they will not disturb other guests.
The use of a mobile phone's loudspeaker or speakerphone for telephone or video calls is not permitted anywhere on the estate.
These guidelines are an important part of preserving the privacy, tranquillity and enjoyment of Tenuta Legaro for everyone staying with us.
16. Food allergies and dietary requirements
We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies where reasonably possible.
Guests should inform us of allergies or specific dietary requirements in advance and remind our team when ordering food.
Although we take reasonable precautions, our kitchens handle a variety of ingredients and we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
17. Wine and alcoholic beverages
Alcohol will only be served in accordance with applicable Italian law.
We reserve the right to refuse the service of alcohol where we reasonably believe that continued service would be inappropriate or unsafe.
18. Experiences and activities
Tenuta Legaro may offer or arrange experiences including vineyard dinners, wine tastings, pizza and cooking experiences, wellness activities, restaurant reservations, excursions and transfers.
Some experiences are subject to availability, weather conditions, seasonal circumstances or minimum participation requirements.
Where an experience or service is provided by an independent third party, that provider may apply its own terms and conditions and is responsible for the services it provides.
If an experience becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to propose a suitable alternative.
19. Children
Children are welcome at Tenuta Legaro.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision and behaviour of children in their care, particularly around the swimming pool, spa, gardens, vineyards, stairs and other areas where additional care may be required.
Parents and guardians are also asked to ensure that children respect the peaceful atmosphere of the estate and the comfort of other guests.
20. Visitors
Tenuta Legaro is a small and private estate. Access to the property and its facilities is primarily reserved for registered guests.
Visitors who are not included in a reservation must be agreed with us in advance.
Additional charges may apply where visitors participate in meals, experiences or use estate facilities.
21. Damage and guest responsibility
Guests are responsible for damage caused deliberately or through negligence by themselves, their children, visitors or other members of their party.
Tenuta Legaro reserves the right to charge the responsible guest for the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged property or for exceptional cleaning required as a result of a guest's actions.
Any damage or accident should be reported to our team as soon as possible.
22. Private events and celebrations
Weddings, parties, private dinners, professional photography, commercial filming and other organised events require prior written agreement with Tenuta Legaro.
Separate conditions, pricing, payment and cancellation terms may apply to exclusive-use reservations, weddings and events.
No event or gathering involving external guests may be organised at the estate without our prior approval.
23. Respect for other guests and the estate
Guests are expected to behave in a manner that respects the privacy, comfort and enjoyment of other guests.
We may ask a guest to stop behaviour that is disturbing others or is inconsistent with these Terms, our house rules or reasonable instructions from our team.
Behaviour that is dangerous, seriously disruptive, abusive or unlawful, or persistent failure to respect reasonable requests from our team, may result in a guest being required to leave the property.
In such circumstances, refunds may not be provided where permitted by applicable law.
24. Personal belongings
Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings.
Tenuta Legaro is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where responsibility arises under applicable law.
Guests should make use of any security facilities provided and notify us promptly if an item is lost or damaged.
25. Circumstances beyond our control
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect the availability of accommodation, facilities or services.
These may include severe weather, natural events, government restrictions, interruption of utilities or transportation, public health measures, strikes or other extraordinary circumstances.
Where this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and, where appropriate, offer a suitable alternative.
Nothing in this section limits rights that a guest may have under mandatory applicable law.
26. Changes by Tenuta Legaro
In exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary to make changes to a confirmed service or reservation.
If a material change is necessary, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and seek an appropriate solution.
Minor operational changes that do not materially affect the overall nature or quality of the stay do not constitute a material change to the reservation.
27. Liability
Tenuta Legaro will provide its accommodation and services with reasonable care and in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.
Tenuta Legaro is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by the actions or omissions of independent third-party providers, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights.
28. Privacy
Personal information provided in connection with enquiries, reservations and stays is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Further information about website cookies and similar technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.
29. Complaints and resolving problems
If something during your stay does not meet your expectations, we ask you to tell us as soon as possible.
Our preference is to address issues directly and promptly while you are at Tenuta Legaro, giving us the opportunity to find an appropriate solution.
If a matter cannot be resolved during your stay, please contact us at [email protected].
30. Governing law
These Terms of Service and reservations made directly with Tenuta Legaro are governed by Italian law.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction determined by applicable Italian and European Union law.
Nothing in these Terms restricts any mandatory rights or protections available to consumers under applicable law.
31. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

The latest version will be available on our website.
